OUR LEADERSHIP

Pastor Mathew K. WIlson is a native of Pittsylvania County, VA. He was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System, and was a prominent student athlete. After high school he went on to study at Averett University where he continued his football career and would later go on to coach high school football at both Tunstall and Grenta High School. 

At the age of 22, Mathew answered the call to ministry and was licensed as a Minster at New Peaceful Zion Apostolic Church under the tutelage of his father, the late Pastor Kenneth Wilson. During which time, he served as Interim Pastor at New Chapel Church in Pittsville, VA. 

After the tranistioning of his father in 2016, Pastor Mathew put aside his football coaching career and in 2017 Pastor Mathew K. Wilson was installed as the Senior Pastor of New Peaceful Zion Apostolic Church. Pastor Mathew K. Wilson has served in the Lord's church now for 9-years and is a son of Bishop S.Y. Younger.
